QR Code - Share your product information with external collaborator with ease

The QR Report (PDF QR code) is a new addition designed to help you generate printable item labels for use in shipping, packaging, and installation workflows. This feature allows you to export stickers with embedded QR codes that link to item details — providing clarity and traceability across teams and contractors.

What Is the QR Report?

The QR Report is technically not a traditional report, but rather a label or sticker generator. It enables you to print customized item labels that include:

  • A customizable label title (e.g., "Package Label")

  • Quantity indicators, with optional duplication

  • A QR code that links to item specifications and read-only details

These labels are especially useful for organizing physical items being delivered or installed on-site.

Use Cases

The QR Report is ideal for several operational workflows:

  • Shipping Labels: Affix labels to packages being shipped for easy identification and tracking.

  • Installation Labels: Help contractors locate and install items accurately by scanning the QR code on-site.

  • Inventory Organization: Use printed labels for staging, warehousing, or internal tracking during procurement and installation phases.

How to Generate QR Report Labels

To generate a QR Report:

  1. Select the items from your project.

  2. Go to the Reports section.

  3. Click on QR Report from the available report options.

You will then see a live preview of the label format.

Customization Options:

Item Label Title

In the top-right corner of each label, you can define a custom label title. This can be anything relevant to your workflow, such as "Installation Label," "Package Label," or "Item Sticker."

Quantity Duplication

You can control how many labels are printed based on quantity:

  • Disabled: One label per item line, displaying the total quantity.

  • Enabled: One label per unit, duplicating the item label based on its quantity.

Example:
If an item has a quantity of 5:

  • With duplication off, you'll get one label marked “Qty: 5.”

  • With duplication on, you'll get five labels, each marked “Qty: 1.”

This is helpful when you need a separate label for every physical unit, such as individual furniture pieces or light fixtures.

What Does the QR Code Show?

Each generated label includes a unique QR code linked to the item’s read-only detail page. When scanned, the user will see:

  • Item images

  • Specifications

  • Quantity

  • Area or installation location

  • Instruction notes

This page is non-editable, ensuring that contractors and field teams only see approved and finalized item information.

Here is also an example link on what scanning the QR code will show

You can check which details are shared for each item through Item details > QR Code > Copy the link and preview what is being shared

Best Practices

  • Use clear and consistent item names and tags in your data to improve label clarity.

  • Turn on quantity duplication when labeling individual units for shipping or installation.

  • Review the QR-linked item detail page to confirm the information is accurate before printing.

  • Store a copy of the generated report with your project documentation.

Summary

The QR Report is a powerful tool for streamlining logistics, installation, and communication between stakeholders. By linking physical labels to digital item data, it reduces confusion, supports better field coordination, and enhances visibility into project assets.
