Setting up Dashboard, Phases and Columns
Set up Dashboards and Phases quickly by adapting Fohlio to your business needs. Increase company and project visibility, and save time.
Fohlio's main Project Sheet view is broken down into Dashboards that contain Phases(Tabs) each one of these tabs has a different set of Columns
For example, the Interior Designer Dashboard can have tabs such as Product Specification and Approvals which contain columns needed for the design team, and on the other hand, the Procurement Dashboard can have tabs like Purchase Order and Order Tracking that contain columns important to the procurement team.
1. Creating and configuring the Dashboards
Depending on your company’s needs, you may need to create a new Dashboard that satisfies the needs of that particular role. With Fohlio you can customize the entire Dashboard, from specific Phases down to the Columns that need to be assigned.
Note: If you don't have the options mentioned here, it's possible your role doesn't have permission to adjust the Template. Check with your team admin to grant your role permission or do the adjustment for yo. Read more about permission here.
A) To edit or create a New Dashboard, click on the gear icon adjacent to the Dashboard dropdown for quick setup on the side sheet

or from the left main menu click on the Phase Column Settings for a more detailed view

Let's continue the explanation from the quick view
B) Now, from the top-right corner of the side view, click on the green Add Dashboard to
create a new one. Type in the name for the New Dashboard and select which roles you want to have access to this Dashboard, then click on the right-checkmark to confirm the creation of the new Dashboard.

C) If you want to add a New Phase to a Dashboard, click on the green button Add Phase next to the Dashboard

Then type the phase name and select which columns this phase should have

The New Phase will now display the Columns chosen in the previous step, and the New Dashboard will also be visible at the top.

If you find a Phase useful from a specific Dashboard and would like to bring it to another Dashboard, you can duplicate that Phase by clicking on the 3 dots > Duplicate

Then move the new Duplicate phase to the wanted phase by clicking on 3 dots > Move to another Dashboard

2. Phase and Columns settings:
After creating and adjusting your main Dashboard,
Let's start on how to adjust your different phases and what possibly you can do.
A) Sort Phases:
After clicking on the Gear sign next to the Dashboard, from the Side sheet you can drag and drop Phases to sort them

B) Add a new or existing column to a Phase
There are multiple ways to do this, the easyiestone is to click on the 3 dots of the header of any column > Insert 1 column Right/Left, then search for the column you want to add or create a new one by typing the column name and click on Create "New Column,,,,"....

C) Reorder Column sequence
From the header of any column click on the 3 dots > Column setting and Sequence

This will open the side sheet and then you can drag and drop columns to sort them
Note: Please keep in mind that each Phase(tab) has a unique order of columns, changing the order of one shouldn't affect the other tabs

When could I possibly need to do any of these actions?
Those actions can be done when you want to create different views for each task, like separating columns related to Client approval from Budgeting columns,
Another possible situation is each department on your team wants to have a dedicated view to focus on a task instead of scrolling over a lot of columns, like having a Dashboard for the Management team with status and price columns to easily view project status, or extract certain reports
